It all begins with an idea.

It all started when I became disillusioned by the temporary nature of my marketing job. Working for weeks or months on a project, only for the work to be deleted by the next project. I then looked back on my pre-existing knowledge and interests.

Looking back at my roots in engineering and my interest in history, blacksmithing felt like a natural fit, which has the added benefit of the legacy I was looking for, as archeologically forged work is among the most common items found centuries or even millennia after their creation.

I then attended a one-week course to see how sustainable the work was in the longer term, as I had never done much physical work. This success led me to sign up for a three-year course at Brinsbury College, which I completed in summer 2025.

Today, my work is shaped by that journey. Blacksmithing offers a meaningful alternative to mass production, creating pieces that are made to last, not to be replaced.
